Whether for occasional or chronic constipation, for constipation as a symptom of chronic underlying diseases or for constipation as a side effect of long-term therapies, Lecicarbon® E CO2-Laxans laxative suppositories help quickly, gently and safely.No prescription is required for this product.

Area of application

The preparation is a CO2 laxative.It is used for short-term use for various causes of stool constipation, for example a diet low in toxins or a lack of exercise.The product can also be used for illnesses that require easier bowel movements.It is also used for emptying the intestines during diagnostic or therapeutic measures in the rectum area.Lecicarbon® E CO2 laxative laxative suppositories can also be used if other laxatives have previously been taken without success.

1 Suppository contains 680 mg sodium dihydrogen phosphate and 500 mg sodium hydrogen carbonate.3-sn-phosphatidylcholine (soybean), hard fat and highly disperse silicon dioxide are included as excipients.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be used if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medicine.Its use is also prohibited in cases of intestinal obstruction (ileus) or megacolon (pathological dilation of the rectum due to various causes).This applies particularly to children and infants to all diseases in the anal and rectal areas where there is a risk of excessive carbon dioxide entering the bloodstream.

Dosage

Always use the product exactly as described or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.The recommended dose, if necessary, is one adult suppository inserted into the rectum.The onset of action occurs 15 to 30 minutes after inserting the suppository.If necessary, the application can be repeated after approx. 30 minutes to 1 hour.Suppositories are available in dosages for adults, children and infants.Please note the respective suppository strength.

The suppositories can be used over a long period of time and do not cause habituation.However, if you have chronic constipation, you should consult a doctor.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of this preparation is too strong or too weak.

No cases of overdose have been observed.Do not use a double dose if you forget the previous dose.The suppositories are only used when necessary.If you have any further questions about using this medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Intake

Separate the suppository from the strip at the perforation and hold the tabs with both hands and pull them apart!Insert the suppository into the anus.A brief immersion in water beforehand makes insertion easier.In children, you may want to squeeze both halves of your buttocks together to avoid the suppository being pushed out immediately.The effect occurs 15 to 30 minutes after inserting the suppository.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.The suppositories have no effect on the ability to drive or use machines.However, care must be taken to ensure that the onset of action (defecation) usually occurs after 15 to 30 minutes.

Pregnancy

Before taking/using any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.You may use the preparation during pregnancy after appropriate benefit/risk assessment by the treating doctor.Based on current knowledge, the additional volume load caused by the formation of carbon dioxide is negligible.You may use the medicine while breastfeeding.The carbon dioxide formed does not pass into breast milk.

If you have chronic constipation, you should always consult a doctor.Contains (3-sn-phosphatidyl)choline (soy lecithin).Read the package leaflet.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
