Area of application

This preparation is used as a laxative to treat chronic constipation.It is not suitable for children under 12 years.The active ingredient macrogol 3350 softens the stool and makes it easier to excrete.The salts it contains help maintain the body's natural levels of sodium, potassium and water.

A sachet with 13.81 g of powder contains the following active ingredients: 13.121 g of macrogol 3350, 0.350 g of sodium chloride, 0.179 g of sodium bicarbonate and 0.046 g of potassium chloride.It also contains sodium saccharin, sorbitol and flavors (orange, lemon-lime).

Contraindications

The preparation must not be taken if you are allergic to macrogol 3350, sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen carbonate, potassium chloride or any of the other ingredients.Taking it is also contraindicated if you have a perforated intestinal wall, intestinal blockage or severe inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease or toxic megacolon.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over as well as older patients should take the contents of one sachet 1 to 3 times a day if they have constipation.The duration of use should normally not be longer than two weeks.If constipation persists or certain illnesses occur, it can be taken longer, but the dose should then be reduced to 1 or 2 times a day.

Intake

Open the bag and pour the contents into a glass.Add about 125 ml of water and stir until the powder is completely dissolved.Then drink the solution.The drinking solution should be freshly prepared and not mixed with other solutions or drinks.

Notes

Macrogol dura tastes pleasantly of citrus fruits.It contains sorbitol, a source of fructose.Please only take Macrogol dura after consulting your doctor if you know that you have an intolerance to certain sugars.
