Area of application

This preparation is a CO2 laxative that is used for short-term use for various causes of fecal constipation.These include a diet low in toxins, lack of exercise and illnesses that require easier bowel movements.It is also suitable for emptying the intestines during diagnostic or therapeutic measures in the rectum area.It can also be used if other laxatives have previously been taken without success.

Active ingredients and ingredients

One suppository contains 340 mg sodium dihydrogen phosphate and 250 mg sodium hydrogen carbonate as active ingredients.The auxiliary ingredients include 3-sn-phosphatidylcholine (from soybeans), hard fat and highly disperse silicon dioxide.

Contraindications

The product must not be used if you are allergic to the components of this medicine.Its use is also prohibited in cases of intestinal obstruction (ileus) or megacolon (pathological dilation of the rectum).This is particularly true for children and infants for all diseases in the anal and rectal area where there is a risk of excessive carbon dioxide entering the bloodstream.

Dosage

Always use the product exactly as described or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.If necessary, you can insert a children's suppository into the rectum.The onset of effect usually occurs after 15 to 30 minutes.If necessary, the application can be repeated after about 30 minutes to 1 hour.Suppositories are available in various dosages for adults, children and infants.

The preparation can be used over a long period of time and does not cause habituation.However, if you have chronic constipation, you should consult a doctor.If you feel that the effect is too strong or too weak, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

No cases of overdose have been observed.If you forget to use it, do not use a double dose.The suppositories are only used when necessary.

Intake

Separate the suppository from the strip at the perforation and insert it into the anus.A brief immersion in water beforehand makes insertion easier.For children, you may be able to squeeze both sides of your buttocks together to prevent the suppository from being pushed out immediately.The onset of effect occurs after 15 to 30 minutes.
