Lecicarbon® S CO2 laxative laxative suppositories for infants have been specially developed for babies to relieve constipation quickly, gently and safely.

Area of application

This medicine is a CO2 laxative.It is used for short-term use for various causes of stool constipation, for example a diet low in toxins or a lack of exercise.The preparation can also be used for illnesses that require easier bowel movements.It is also used to empty the intestines during diagnostic or therapeutic measures in the rectum area.Lecicarbon® S CO2-Laxant can also be used if other laxatives have previously been taken without success.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

One suppository contains 170 mg sodium dihydrogen phosphate and 125 mg sodium hydrogen carbonate.Other ingredients include hard fat, (3-sn-phosphatidyl)choline (from soybeans) and highly disperse silicon dioxide.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to the components of this medicine.Its use is also prohibited in the case of intestinal obstruction (ileus) and megacolon (pathological dilatation of the rectum due to various causes).This applies particularly to children and infants to all diseases in the anal and rectal areas where there is a risk of excessive carbon dioxide entering the bloodstream.

Dosage

Always use the medicine exactly as described or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.If necessary, you can insert an infant suppository into the rectum.The onset of effect usually occurs after 15 to 30 minutes.If necessary, the application can be repeated after about 30 minutes to 1 hour.Please note the respective suppository strength.

The suppositories can be used over a long period of time and do not cause habituation.However, if you have chronic constipation, you should consult a doctor.Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you think the effect is too strong or too weak.

No cases of overdose have been observed.Do not use a double dose if you forget the previous dose.The suppositories are only used when necessary.

Intake

Separate the suppository from the strip at the perforation and insert it into the anus.A brief immersion in water beforehand makes insertion easier.For children, you may be able to squeeze both sides of your buttocks together to prevent the suppository from being pushed out immediately.The onset of effect occurs after 15 to 30 minutes.

Pregnancy

Always ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking or using any medicine.The preparation may be used during pregnancy after the benefit-risk assessment by the treating doctor.Based on current knowledge, the additional volume load caused by the formation of carbon dioxide is negligible.The medicine may be used during breastfeeding as the carbon dioxide formed does not pass into breast milk.

No prescription is required for this product.Contains (3-sn-phosphatidyl)choline (soy lecithin).Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
