Rhinivict Nasal 0.05 mg is a nasal spray used for the short-term treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis, also known as hay fever.The active ingredient in this preparation is beclometasone dipropionate, which has an anti-inflammatory effect and relieves the symptoms of hay fever.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in Rhinivict Nasal 0.05 mg is beclometasone dipropionate.Each single dose contains 0.05 mg beclometasone dipropionate.The other ingredients are benzalkonium chloride, polysorbate 80, anhydrous glucose, microcrystalline cellulose, carmellose sodium, purified water as well as sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid for pH adjustment.

Areas of application

Rhinivict Nasal 0.05 mg is used for the short-term treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis caused by flower and/or grass pollen.It is important to note that this nasal spray is not intended for immediate relief of acute symptoms, but rather for regular use for chronic conditions.

Dosage and application

Adults and children aged 12 years and over should apply two single doses into each nostril twice daily.This corresponds to a total dose of 0.4 mg per day.As soon as symptoms subside, the dose should be reduced to the lowest possible level.The maximum daily dose should not exceed eight individual doses.

Before use, the nostrils should be cleared by gently blowing your nose.The bottle should be shaken and the protective cap removed before each use.Hold the bottle upright and carefully insert the nose tube into one nostril.Press the handle down firmly once to release a single dose and inhale slowly and evenly through your nose.Repeat this process for the other nostril and put the protective cap back on.

Warnings and precautions

Rhinivict Nasal 0.05 mg must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to beclometasone dipropionate or any of the other ingredients.Patients with hypersensitivity to benzalkonium chloride should avoid use.

It is recommended to speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use, especially if there are concomitant fungal diseases or other infections in the nasal or sinus area.Nasal glucocorticoids can cause side effects, especially at high doses or for long periods of use.Growth retardation has been reported in children receiving nasal glucocorticoids at recommended doses.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Rhinivict Nasal 0.05 mg can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include hypersensitivity reactions such as rash, redness, itching and swelling.Occasionally, dry and irritated nose or throat mucosa, unpleasant smell or taste sensations and nosebleeds may occur.Damage to the nasal septum or an increase in intraocular pressure have been reported very rarely.

Storage

Keep Rhinivict Nasal 0.05 mg out of the reach of children and do not store it above 25°C.The bottle should be stored in the outer carton to protect the contents from light.The shelf life after opening the container is three months.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton and container.
