Blemaren N effervescent tablets are used to alkalinise the urine in uric acid stone disease with or without concomitant calcium stones and for metaphylaxis in calcium stones. They contain the active ingredients citric acid, sodium citrate and potassium hydrogen carbonate. The dosage is according to the doctor's instructions and depends on the optimal pH value of the urine. The duration of use can be several weeks to months, depending on the size of the stone. Overdose is not usually expected, but medical advice should be sought if necessary. Children under 12 years of age should not take the medicine. The package leaflet should be read before use and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted if there are any questions.
