Description of the drug

This medicine is a urea preparation intended for external use on the skin.It is used as an adjuvant treatment for various skin conditions, including fish scale disease (ichthyosis), dry skin (xeroderma), and thickening of the stratum corneum (hyperkeratosis).It is also suitable for the follow-up treatment of skin diseases that have largely subsided, especially for corticoid-free therapy for chronic skin diseases.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The preparation contains 100 mg of urea as an active ingredient.The excipients include isopropyl myristate, corn starch, 10 mg PEG-25 castor oil (hydrogenated), sorbitan laurate, sorbitol solution 70% (crystallizing), white petrolatum, butylated hydroxytoluene and purified water.

Contraindications

The preparation must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to urea or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.

Dosage and application

Always use the product exactly as described in the instructions for use or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, you should apply the medicine thinly to the skin twice a day and rub it evenly.The duration of use depends on the clinical picture and is determined individually by the doctor.As a rule, a treatment period of two to four weeks is required.

If you use more than you should, your skin may become irritated.These resolve quickly on their own after stopping the preparation.If you forget to use, do not use a double dose to make up for the missed application.

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the product.Particular caution is required when using the medicine near eyes and mucous membranes.Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.The preparation should not be used for acute skin inflammation with injured skin surface or on large areas if you suffer from impaired kidney function.

When treating the genital or anal area, the white petroleum jelly component can lead to a reduction in the functionality of latex products (e.g. condoms, diaphragms), which can impair their safety.

There is no reliable experience with the use of the product in children.Reports from the specialist literature indicate that the use of highly concentrated products containing urea in children can lead to a mostly short-term burning sensation on the skin.Please consult your doctor before using the product on children.

No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive and use machines.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.There are no known risks when using the drug during pregnancy or breastfeeding.During use during breastfeeding, the product should not be used on the breast area to avoid absorption by the infant.

No prescription is required for this product.The high-fat cream is particularly suitable for very dry areas of the body.The preparation is only intended for application to the skin and must not be placed in the eyes or mucous membranes.
