Areas of application

This urea preparation is used externally on the skin.It is used as a supportive treatment for fish scale disease (ichthyosis), dry skin (xeroderma) and thickening of the stratum corneum (hyperkeratosis).It is also suitable for the follow-up treatment of skin diseases that have largely subsided, especially for corticoid-free therapy for chronic skin diseases.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in this preparation is urea.Other ingredients include isopropyl myristate, corn starch, PEG-25 castor oil (hydrogenated), sorbitan laurate, sorbitol solution (70%, crystallizing), white petrolatum, butylated hydroxytoluene and purified water.

Contraindications

The preparation must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to urea or any of the other ingredients.

Dosage and application

Always use the product exactly as described in the instructions for use or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, you should apply the medicine thinly to the skin twice a day and rub it evenly.The duration of use depends on the clinical picture and is determined individually by the doctor.As a rule, a treatment period of two to four weeks is required.

If you use more than you should, your skin may become irritated.These resolve quickly on their own after stopping the preparation.If you forget to use it, do not use a double dose.

No prescription is required for this product.

Application instructions

The preparation is intended for use on the skin.Apply it thinly and rub it evenly.Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.In the case of acute skin inflammation with an injured skin surface or impaired kidney function, the preparation should not be used over large areas.

When treating the genital or anal area, due to the ingredient white petroleum jelly, the simultaneous use of latex products (e.g. condoms, diaphragms) can lead to a reduction in functionality and thus to an impairment of the safety of these products.

There is no reliable experience with the use of the product in children.Reports from the specialist literature indicate that the use of highly concentrated products containing urea in children can lead to a mostly short-term burning sensation on the skin.Please consult your doctor before using the product on children.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.There are no known risks when using the drug during pregnancy or breastfeeding.During use during breastfeeding, the product should not be used on the breast area to avoid absorption by the infant.

Notes

The high-fat cream is particularly suitable for very dry areas of the body.You should not bring the product into contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
