Area of application

The medicine is a urea preparation that is applied topically to the skin.It is used as a supportive treatment for various skin conditions, including fish scale disease (ichthyosis), dry skin (xeroderma) and thickening of the stratum corneum (hyperkeratosis).It is also used for other conditions of dry, rough skin.The preparation is also suitable for the follow-up treatment of skin diseases that have largely subsided, especially for corticoid-free therapy for chronic skin diseases.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in this preparation is urea.The excipients include isopropyl myristate, corn starch, PEG-25 castor oil (hydrogenated), sorbitan laurate, sorbitol solution (70%, crystallizing), white petrolatum, butylated hydroxytoluene and purified water.

Contraindications

The product must not be used if you are hypersensitive or allergic to urea or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.

Dosage and application

Always use the product exactly as described in the instructions for use or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, apply the medicine thinly to the skin twice a day and rub it evenly.The duration of use depends on the clinical picture and is determined individually by the doctor.As a rule, a treatment period of two to four weeks is required.

If you use more than you should, your skin may become irritated.These resolve quickly on their own after stopping the preparation.If you forget to use it, do not use a double dose, but continue using it as usual.

There is no reliable experience with the use of the product in children.Reports from the specialist literature indicate that products containing higher concentrations of urea can cause a burning sensation on the skin of children, usually for a short time.Consult your doctor before using the product on children.

No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive and use machines.
