Description of the product

Natucor® 600 mg forte is a herbal medicine made from leaves and flowers of hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna and Crataegus laevigata).The ingredients of hawthorn strengthen the heart and support its performance.The use increases the beating power of the heart and promotes cardiovascular functions.The improved blood flow to the heart muscle leads to increased oxygen supply, which has a particularly positive effect during physical exertion.This makes the body more resilient and tires less quickly.

Area of application

This herbal medicine is used when the heart's performance declines, corresponding to stage II according to NYHA.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in this preparation is hawthorn leaves with dry flower extract.One film-coated tablet contains 600 mg of dry extract of hawthorn leaves with flowers in a drug to extract ratio such as 4-7:1.The extractant is ethanol 45% (V/V).

The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate, cellulose powder, maltodextrin, croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silicon dioxide, basic butyl methacrylate copolymer, magnesium stearate, talc, titanium dioxide E 171, macrogol 6000, iron (III) oxide E 172.

Contraindications

You must not take this medicine if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients.

Dosage

Please stick to the dosage instructions, otherwise the medicine will not work properly.Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose for adults and children aged 12 and over is half a film-coated tablet three times a day.It is not intended for use in children under 12 years of age.

It is recommended to take the product for a minimum of 6 weeks and a maximum of 6 months.The treating doctor should then determine the further duration of use.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

If you take much more than you should, continue taking as directed unless increased side effects occur.In this case you should consult a doctor.

If you forget to take it, do not take a double dose next time, but continue taking it as prescribed or as described in the instructions for use.

Intake

The film-coated tablets are provided with a break line so that they can be divided into two halves.Break the film-coated tablet at the break line and swallow half the film-coated tablet whole with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water).Store the divided film-coated tablet away from light and moisture until you take it.Do not take the film-coated tablets while lying down.

Patient information

If the symptoms of the disease persist for more than six weeks or if water accumulates in the legs, we recommend consulting your doctor.If you have pain in the heart area that can radiate to the arms, upper abdomen or neck area, or if you have difficulty breathing, immediate medical attention is essential.

There are no sufficient studies available for use in children.The medicine should therefore not be used in children under 12 years of age.

The medicine has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

Before taking any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.The widespread use of hawthorn as a medicine has not yet resulted in any evidence of risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding.However, there are no results from experimental studies.Therefore, this medicine should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Notes

Contains lactose.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
