Application and mode of action

Kytta-Sedativum® for the day is a herbal medicine that is used to calm nervous restlessness.It is particularly suitable for people who are tense and nervous during the day, feel overwhelmed by everyday demands or react to stressful situations with inner restlessness.The high-dose special extract from passion flower (Passiflora incarnata) promotes balance and relaxation without tiring, thus enabling full concentration and new strength for the day.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each coated tablet contains 425 mg dry extract of passion flower herb (5-7:1), with ethanol 50% (V/V) serving as the extractant.The excipients include maltodextrin, colloidal silicon dioxide, cellulose powder, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, stearic acid, talc, sucrose (sucrose), calcium carbonate, arabic gum, tragacanth, glucose syrup, hypromellose, bleached wax, carnauba wax, shellac (bleached and dewaxed (Ph. Eur.)), titanium dioxide and iron(III)hydroxide-oxide x H2O.

Dosage and intake

The usual dose for adolescents aged 12 and over and adults is one tablet 2 to 3 times a day.The tablets should be taken whole with sufficient liquid, preferably a glass of drinking water, and evenly distributed throughout the day.The duration of use is not limited in principle.If the symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks or worsen, a doctor should be consulted.In the event of an accidental overdose (taking 2-3 tablets), no adverse consequences are usually expected, but a doctor should still be informed.

Contraindications and precautions

The medicine must not be taken if there is hypersensitivity to passion flower herb dry extract or any of the other ingredients.Particular caution is required if symptoms last longer than 2 weeks or worsen.There are no sufficient studies available for children under 12 years of age, so the medicine should not be used in this age group.Ingestion may affect the ability to react, especially in combination with alcohol, which may impair the ability to actively drive or operate machines.
