Directions for use of the article Solutio Hydroxyquinoline Sulphate Solution 0.4 %. Solutio Hydroxyquinoline Sulphate Solution 0.4 % is an antiseptic used as a germicidal solution on the skin. It contains the active ingredient quinolin-8-ol sulphate (2:1). The medicine is available without prescription but should be used properly. It is recommended to read the instructions for use carefully and to consult the pharmacist if you have any questions. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not use the medicinal product. The solution should not be used on materials containing heavy metals as it may cause damage. It is also not recommended to bring the solution into contact with metallic objects. There is no information on the use in children and adolescents. The solution should be used undiluted two to three times a day, but not for more than 14 days without a doctor's order. In case of overdose, intoxication should not be expected. Possible side effects are irritant contact reactions. The expiry date is stated on the packaging and the medicinal product should not be used after this date. The solution remains usable for 4 weeks after opening the container.
