The product is used to treat symptoms caused by age-related circulatory disorders or brain-organic performance disorders.These include memory problems, difficulty concentrating, depressive moods, dizziness, ringing in the ears and headaches.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

The dry ginkgo leaf extract contained in the product has an antioxidant effect and inhibits the effects of free oxygen radicals.It improves blood circulation through its positive influence on the flow properties of the blood and has a cardioprotective effect.It also promotes memory performance.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

One film-coated tablet contains the active ingredient 40 mg ginkgo leaf dry extract, (35-67:1), extractant: acetone 60% (m/m), which corresponds to 9.8 mg ginkgo flavon glycosides and 0.2 µg ginkgolic acids.

Excipients are cellulose, microcrystalline, croscarmellose, sodium salt, iron (II) oxide, orange, iron (III) oxide, hypromellose, lactose 1-water, macrogol (PEG) 1500, magnesium distearate, silicon dioxide, highly disperse, dimeticone silicon dioxide[alpha]-hydro-octadecyloxypoly (oxyethylene) -5-sorbic acid water, starch(corn), talcum and titanium dioxide.

Contraindications

The product must not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to Ginkgo biloba or any of the other ingredients.It should not be used in children and adolescents under 12 years of age due to insufficient examinations.If you have a pathologically increased tendency to bleeding or are being treated at the same time with anticoagulant medications, the product should only be used after consulting a doctor.Caution is also advised when using it before operations.

Dosage

In case of brain dysfunction, 1-2 film-coated tablets 3 times daily are recommended.For arterial occlusive disease, dizziness and ringing in the ears, 1 film-coated tablet can be taken 3 times a day or 2 film-coated tablets 2 times a day.

Intake

The film-coated tablets are swallowed whole with a little liquid.It can be taken regardless of meals.

Patient information

The duration of treatment for brain dysfunction should be at least 8 weeks.In the case of arterial occlusive disease, a treatment period of at least 6 weeks is required.In the case of dizziness and ringing in the ears, no further improvement can usually be expected after 6-8 weeks.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, medication should only be taken after consulting a doctor or pharmacist.Animal experiments showed no evidence of a harmful effect, but there is no experience with humans.It is not known whether ingredients in the extract pass into breast milk.

Notes

If symptoms persist for longer than 3 months despite correct use, a doctor should be consulted.Sad moods, frequent feelings of dizziness and ringing in the ears as well as sudden hearing impairment or hearing loss generally require medical clarification.If you have skin hypersensitivity reactions or persistent headaches and gastrointestinal complaints, you should also consult a doctor.
