HepaBesch® is a herbal medicine that contains the dry extract from the fruits of milk thistle (Silybum marianum).Milk thistle was already used as a medicinal plant in the Middle Ages.This preparation is used to assist in the treatment of liver diseases.

HepaBesch® is used in the following cases: in chronic inflammatory liver diseases, in liver cirrhosis and in toxic liver damage caused by liver toxins.No prescription is required for this product.

Area of application

The preparation is a herbal medicine that is used for various liver diseases.It is used as a supportive treatment for chronic inflammatory liver diseases, liver cirrhosis and toxic liver damage.It is not intended for the treatment of acute poisoning.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

Each hard capsule contains 150-163 mg dry milk thistle fruit extract (25-40:1), equivalent to 83 mg silymarin.Acetone is used as an extractant.In addition, the preparation contains the following excipients: cellulose powder, iron(II,III)oxide, iron (III)hydroxide oxide x-water, gelatin, indigo carmine, lactose 1-water, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, sodium dodecyl sulfate, titanium dioxide and purified water.

Contraindications

You must not take the medicine if you are allergic to milk thistle fruits, other composite plants or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.The preparation is also not suitable during pregnancy or for the treatment of acute poisoning.

Dosage

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor, pharmacist or nurse has told you.The recommended dose for adults, unless otherwise prescribed, is 2 hard capsules twice daily.A single dose corresponds to 2 hard capsules, which corresponds to 166 mg of silymarin.The total daily dose is 4 hard capsules, corresponding to 332 mg silymarin.

Your doctor will decide how long you should take it.If your symptoms persist after this, please see your doctor.Please also talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak.

If you take more than you should, the side effects described may increase.If you suspect an overdose, please contact your doctor.No symptoms of poisoning have been observed so far.

If you forget to take a dose, do not take a double dose, but continue taking it as directed here or as prescribed by your doctor.

If you stop taking it, your original symptoms may return.Regardless of this, no negative symptoms have been described so far when discontinuing the medication.

Intake

It is best to take the capsules whole after breakfast and after dinner.Drink enough liquid, preferably 1 glass of drinking water, to make the capsule easier to swallow.Do not take the capsules lying down.

Patient information

Particular caution is required if you have liver disease or have had liver disease in the past.In these cases, please consult your doctor before taking the medicine.If you have jaundice (light to dark yellow skin discoloration, yellowing of the whites of your eyes), you should see a doctor.

Treatment with a drug does not replace avoiding the causes that damage the liver, such as alcohol.Only give the product to children after consulting a doctor, as there is currently no sufficient experience or research to make a general recommendation for this age group.

No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

Before taking any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.There are no sufficient studies on the use of the product during breastfeeding.It should therefore not be taken while breastfeeding.

HepaBesch® is not intended for the treatment of acute poisoning.Treatment with a drug does not replace avoiding the causes that damage the liver, such as alcohol.If you have jaundice (light to dark yellow skin discoloration, yellow eyes), you should see a doctor. HepaBesch® contains lactose (milk sugar).Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
