Isopropanol 70% (V/V) is a disinfectant that is used for external use.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

This disinfectant is used for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection.It is also suitable for skin disinfection before simple injections and punctures of peripheral vessels, as well as before operations and punctures of joints.It can also be used to disinfect skin rich in sebaceous glands and for cooling compresses.However, it is not suitable for disinfecting open wounds.

Dosage instructions and method of application

To disinfect the skin, the affected areas should be rubbed with the solution and then allowed to dry.For hygienic hand disinfection, 3 to 5 ml of the solution is sufficient, which should be rubbed into the hands until dry.For cooling compresses, the solution can be used diluted with equal parts water.

Ingredients

The active ingredient in this disinfectant is 2-propanol.100 grams of the solution contains 63.1 grams of 2-propanol.The other ingredient is purified water.

Notes

The solution does not kill spores and is therefore not suitable for storing sterile instruments and syringes.Please do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the package or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

Frequency unknown is redness or a slight burning sensation when rubbing the skin.The product is highly flammable and should be kept away from sources of ignition.It should be stored tightly closed.
