Information for use of the article MICOTAR MUNDGEL: Directions for use: Micotar Mouth Gel contains the active ingredient miconazole and is used to treat yeast infections of the oral mucosa (oral thrush). The dosage varies according to age: infants from 4 months and children up to 2 years receive 1 ml 4 times a day, while children from 2 years and adults take 2 ml 4 times a day. The duration of use is usually 1-2 weeks. Possible side effects are nausea and diarrhoea. If swelling, difficulty swallowing or hives occur, a doctor should be contacted immediately. Micotar Oral Gel comes in tubes of 20 g, 40 g and 100 g and should be kept away from children. It is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Interactions with other medicines should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist before use.
