Summary: Klean Prep is a powder for bowel cleansing before diagnostic tests and surgical procedures on the bowel. It contains macrogol 3350, sodium sulphate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, sodium chloride and potassium chloride. The use of Klean Prep is contraindicated in certain medical conditions such as heart failure, blocked bowel or toxic bowel inflammation. Caution is also advised in patients with dysphagia, chronic colitis or impaired renal function. The dosage and use of Klean Prep should be according to the doctor's instructions. Possible side effects include allergic skin reactions, electrolyte imbalances, headache, nausea and abdominal cramps. The contents of one sachet are dissolved in 1 litre of water and drunk in glass portions every 10-15 minutes. It is important not to eat solid food and drink clear liquids before taking Klean Prep. Klean Prep should be stored in a cool place and consumed within 48 hours. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
