Heparin AL Ointment 30,000 is a medicine for the supportive treatment of acute swelling conditions after blunt injuries such as bruises and haematomas. The active ingredient heparin sodium has a blood-thinning effect and supports the breakdown of blood clots. This reduces swelling, reduces bruising and reduces inflammation. The ointment is applied thinly to the affected skin areas and should be used 2 to 3 times a day. It should be noted that the duration of application should not exceed 10 days. Side effects are rare and may include allergic reactions such as redness or itching, but these disappear when the medication is stopped. The package leaflet should be read or a doctor or pharmacist consulted before use. Heparin AL Ointment is suitable for children, pregnant women and nursing mothers and can be used for 12 months after opening. It no longer contains animal ingredients as excipients.
