The drug heparin AL ointment 50,000 is used for the supportive treatment of acute swelling conditions after blunt injuries such as bruises and haematomas. It contains the active ingredient heparin sodium and has blood-thinning and anticoagulant properties, thereby promoting the breakdown of blood clots. The ointment should be applied thinly and evenly to the affected area, but not to open or inflamed skin. The duration of application should not exceed 10 days. Persons with hypersensitivity to the ingredients or with known thrombocytopenia should not use Heparin AL Ointment 50,000.
