Megalac Almasilate mint 1 g/10 ml suspension is used to treat stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers, heartburn and acid-related stomach complaints. The recommended dosage for adolescents aged 12 and over and adults is 10 ml, taken once to four times a day, 1-2 hours after meals and before bedtime. It should be taken undiluted. The duration of treatment should not exceed two weeks. If symptoms persist or recur, a doctor should be consulted. The medicine should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, phosphate deficiency, impaired kidney function or in children under 12 years of age. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. No overdose symptoms are known. If side effects occur, the intake should be stopped and a doctor contacted.
