Information for use with the article Ambroxol AL 75 Retard: - Ambroxol AL 75 Retard contains the active substance ambroxol hydrochloride and is used for the expectorant treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs with thick mucus. It is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. - The recommended dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over is one sustained-release hard capsule of Ambroxol AL 75 Retard 1 time daily, taken after a meal with plenty of liquid. - The medicine should not be used for longer than 4-5 days unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor. - Side effects may include gastrointestinal complaints, hypersensitivity reactions of the skin and mucous membrane and swelling of the face.
