Summary: Folic acid AL 5 mg tablets are intended for the treatment of folic acid deficiencies that cannot be compensated by diet. Folic acid is a vital vitamin that is involved in many metabolic processes in the body. A folic acid deficiency can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, pallor, dizziness and weight loss. An adequate supply of folic acid is particularly important if you wish to have children or during pregnancy. The tablets should be taken 1-3 times a day with sufficient liquid at mealtimes. Side effects such as allergic reactions, itching and nausea may occur. The medicine must not be taken if there is an allergy to folic acid or any of the other ingredients.
