What is alcohol 70% vol. Hetterich and what is it used for?

Alcohol 70% vol. Hetterich is a disinfectant that is used for hygienic hand disinfection and for making cooling compresses.The active ingredient in this product is ethanol with a proportion of 70% (V/V).No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

This disinfectant is suitable for hygienic hand disinfection and for use as a cooling compress.However, it is not suitable for disinfecting large open wounds or for storing sterile instruments and syringes as it does not have a spore-killing effect.

Application

For hygienic hand disinfection, hands are rubbed with the solution and kept moist for at least one minute.For cold compresses, the solution should be diluted with equal parts water.The exposure time can be extended depending on circumstances, such as damp skin or dirt.

Important notes

Alcohol 70% vol. Hetterich is highly flammable and should therefore be kept away from sources of ignition.If the solution is spilled, take immediate measures to prevent fire and explosion, such as collecting the liquid, diluting it with water, ventilating the room and eliminating sources of ignition.
