Information for use of the article Vitamin B12 forte Hevert injekt Ampullen: - Active substance: cyanocobalamin - Indications: Vitamin B12 deficiency that cannot be corrected nutritionally. This deficiency can lead to blood formation disorders, anaemia and spinal cord damage. - Dosage instructions: At the beginning of treatment, 1 ml of vitamin B12 forte Hevert injekt is administered twice a week. In the case of proven vitamin B12 absorption disorders in the intestine, the application is once a month. - Route and duration of administration: Vitamin B12 forte Hevert injekt is usually administered intramuscularly, but can also be given intravenously or subcutaneously. The application is intended for prolonged use. - Information about shelf life and storage: The medicinal product should not be used after the expiry date and should be stored away from light. - Contraindications: The medicinal product should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients. - Side effects: Side effects have been reported only rarely, but any disturbances of well-being during treatment should be observed and reported to the doctor. - The medicinal product should not be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding. - Composition: Cyanocobalamin (3 mg), ammonium sulphate, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid for pH adjustment, water for injection. - Mode of action: The active substance is converted to vitamin B12 in the body and is involved in blood formation, among other things. - Interactions: Before treatment with new medicines, the doctor should be informed about medicines already being used. - Storage: The medicine must be stored in the dark before opening and used within one hour after opening.
