Information for use with the article Octadon P Tablets: Octadon P is a combination preparation of paracetamol and caffeine which is used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderately severe pain. It must not be taken in the case of allergic reactions to paracetamol, caffeine or other components of the medicinal product or in the case of severe liver dysfunction. People with chronic alcohol dependence, liver problems, stomach or intestinal ulcers, kidney problems, hyperthyroidism or cardiac arrhythmia should consult their doctor before taking it. Pregnant women should only consider taking Octadon P during pregnancy after strict consideration of the risk-benefit ratio in consultation with a doctor. Side effects may occur, including liver enzyme changes, blood count changes, allergic reactions, insomnia, hearing problems, stomach upset, increased heart rate and skin reactions. Octadon P should not be taken for more than three days without medical advice. It must not be taken together with alcohol. The dosage depends on age and weight.
