Vliwaktiv Ag is an innovative solution that combines the odor-binding properties of activated carbon with the antimicrobial effects of silver.This product is available in two versions: as an absorbent compress and as a tamponade.It is particularly suitable for the care of critically colonized wounds, infected and/or foul-smelling wounds and wounds with an increased risk of infection.

Product composition

The main components of Vliwaktiv Ag are activated carbon fibers impregnated with silver, as well as polyester and polyethylene.The absorbent compress also contains polypropylene, cellulose and hot melt adhesive, which consists of synthetic polymers with resins and waxes.

Areas of application

Vliwaktiv Ag is versatile.It can be used on critically colonized or infected and/or malodorous wounds.It is also suitable for wounds with an increased risk of infection.The absorbent compress is particularly suitable for heavily exuding superficial wounds, while the tamponade is used to pack deeper wounds and as a wound dressing for superficial wounds.

Properties

Vliwaktiv Ag effectively binds wound odors and wound exudate.Due to the silver content, it has an antimicrobial effect in the wound dressing and also binds endotoxins.

Please do not cut the product as activated carbon particles could get into the wound.No prescription is required for this product.
