Vliwaktiv Ag is an activated carbon absorbent compress or tamponade that is impregnated with silver.This product combines the odor-controlling properties of activated carbon with the antimicrobial effects of silver.It is suitable for the treatment of critically colonized wounds, infected and/or foul-smelling wounds and wounds with an increased risk of infection.

Product composition

The activated carbon fiber is impregnated with silver and consists of polyester and polyethylene.In addition, the absorbent compress contains polypropylene, cellulose and hot melt adhesive, which consists of synthetic polymers with resins and waxes.

Explanations

The product is available in two versions: as a suction compress and as a tamponade.

Areas of application

Vliwaktiv Ag is used for critically colonized or infected and/or malodorous wounds.It is also suitable for wounds with an increased risk of infection.The absorbent compress is suitable for heavily exuding superficial wounds, while the tamponade is used to pack deeper wounds and as a wound dressing for superficial wounds.

Properties

Vliwaktiv Ag binds wound odors and wound exudate.Due to the silver content, it has an antimicrobial effect in the wound dressing and binds endotoxins.

Notes

Please do not cut it as activated carbon particles could get into the wound.
