The Acnederm® ointment is a traditional medicine that is used for redness, pimples and acne to improve the complexion.It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, which can relieve skin redness and the associated discomfort.The ointment has a natural tint and contains a proven recipe with oil from oil shale and zinc.It is very well tolerated even with long-term use and can be used in children and adolescents from the age of 12.

Area of application

The preparation is a traditional medicine and is used as a mild remedy for skin blemishes.If the skin imperfections do not improve or if inflammation occurs in the application area, you should consult a doctor.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The ointment contains 0.02 g of ammonium bituminosulfonate and 0.1 g of zinc oxide per gram. The following excipients are also included: cetostearyl alcohol (emulsifying, type A), iron hydroxide, iron oxide, glycerol monostearate, talc, medium-chain triglycerides, white petroleum jelly, purified water and methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to ammonium bituminosulfonate, zinc oxide or any of the other ingredients.

Dosage and application

Always use the medicine exactly as described or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The usual dose is to apply an even, thin layer to the affected skin areas morning and evening.The medicine should not be used on large areas of skin covering more than 20% of the body surface area.

If you use more than you should, there are no known cases of overdose.You can easily remove excess ointment with water.

Special Notes

Due to the content of methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, hives may occur when using this medicine.Rarely, immediate reactions with urticaria and bronchospasm are possible.Late reactions such as contact dermatitis can also occur.Please wash your hands after use and do not bring the medicine into contact with eyes and mucous membranes.It should not be used on open wounds or acute eczema.

There are no sufficient studies on the use of the drug in children under 12 years of age.The medicine should therefore not be used in this age group.

No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.The medicine should not be used on the lactating breast.

Notes

No prescription is required for this product.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

Contains methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate and cetostearyl alcohol.Methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate can cause hypersensitivity reactions, including late reactions.Please read the package leaflet!
