MEDIHONEY Antibacterial wound gel

The MEDIHONEY Antibacterial Wound Gel is a special product for wound treatment.It is made from a blend of 80% Medihoney™ Antibacterial Honey and 20% vegetable thickeners.These thickeners give the gel an ointment-like consistency so that it does not run after use.They also form a thin protective film on the wound surface that can be easily rinsed off when cleaning the wound.This product is particularly suitable for superficial wounds or wounds where the wound bed is easily accessible.

Medihoney Antibacterial Medical Honey is an CE-certified, sterile medical product for wound treatment.It protects the wound by forming a barrier against pathogens, including antibiotic-resistant strains, thereby reducing the risk of infection.The high osmotic potential of Medihoney initially promotes exudate formation, which flushes bacteria, endotoxins, plaque and necrotic tissue from the wound.This results in rapid odor elimination and a clean wound, thereby reducing inflammation, edema and exudation.By creating an optimal healing environment, granulation and epithelialization are promoted.

Application instructions

Each time the dressing is changed, the wound should be cleaned using standard methods.The edge of the wound can be protected with Medihoney protective cream.The antibacterial medical honey Medihoney or the wound gel is applied directly into the wound.It is important to ensure that the honey or gel is in full contact with the wound and is applied at least 3 mm thick.The secondary wound dressing should be sufficiently absorbent to absorb excess wound exudate.Superabsorbent wound dressings or superabsorbents are best suited for this.
