Instructions for use for Acne Fugue Oxide Mild 5% (50 g)
Description of the drug
This medicine is an exfoliating and antibacterial gel intended for use on the skin.It is used for various forms of acne caused by hormonal changes during puberty.No prescription is required for this product.
Active ingredients and ingredients
The gel contains 66.7 mg of hydrous benzoyl peroxide and 50 mg of benzoyl peroxide as active ingredients.Excipients include carmellose sodium salt, microcrystalline cellulose, ethanol 96% (v/v), laureth-4, macrogol 400, octadecan-1-ol, polyethylene glycol (7) stearyl ether, concentrated hydrochloric acid and purified water.
Application of the gel
Apply the gel thinly to the affected skin areas 1 to 2 times a day.The application is suitable for adults as well as children and teenagers.Continue treatment until the inflammatory skin symptoms have subsided, which usually takes about 4 weeks.
Special instructions for use
Avoid contact of the gel with mucous membranes, especially around the mouth, nose and eyes, as well as with skin abrasions.If the gel is accidentally swallowed, it can cause discomfort in the esophagus and stomach.In this case, you should consult a doctor immediately.
If you apply more gel than recommended, skin irritation may increase.In this case, reduce the frequency of application or the amount of gel and remove the excess with a paper towel or rinse with water.
If you forget to use it, do not use double the amount.Simply continue the treatment with the usual amount the next time you use it.
Warnings and precautions
Avoid getting the gel in your eyes as this may cause redness and burning.Rinse eyes thoroughly with water if this happens accidentally.The gel can make the skin more sensitive to UV-light, which can lead to an increased tendency to sunburn.Therefore, avoid intensive sun or solarium exposure of the treated areas of the body.
Make sure that the gel does not get on colored textiles as it can discolor them.If you have dry or sebostatic skin or are prone to allergies, you should only use the gel as directed by a doctor.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant, breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using the gel.The gel should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor.The gel should not be used in the last month of pregnancy.
Additional notes
The gel is particularly suitable for use on the facial area and on sensitive skin.During use, avoid intense UV-radiation, such as sunbathing or solariums.If the skin becomes red, itchy, tight, burning or dry, you should stop using the gel or reduce the amount.
