EBENOL® 0.5% Cream

EBENOL® 0.5% Cream is a product for the relief of moderate inflammatory skin diseases such as neurodermatitis, psoriasis and eczema.It is suitable for adults and children over the age of 6 and contains 0.5% hydrocortisone as an active ingredient.The cream is easy to spread, absorbs quickly and is fragrance-free.It is particularly suitable for dry skin.

Area of application

EBENOL® 0.5% Cream is used for moderate inflammatory skin diseases.These include neurodermatitis, psoriasis and eczema.The product is intended for short-term use of a maximum of two weeks and can be used by both adults and children aged 6 and over.

Mode of action

The active ingredient in EBENOL® 0.5% cream is hydrocortisone, a hormone naturally occurring in the body.Hydrocortisone has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects.It relieves symptoms such as redness, swelling and itching associated with inflammatory skin diseases.

The active ingredient in EBENOL® 0.5% cream is hydrocortisone with a concentration of 0.5%.The other ingredients include glycerol 85%, oleyl oleate, emulsifying cetostearyl alcohol (type A), medium chain triglycerides, (RS)-2-octyldodecan-1-ol, glycerol monostearate, dimeticon 350, potassium sorbate and carbomer 980.

Contraindications

EBENOL® 0.5% Cream should not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.The product is not suitable for children under 6 years.It contains cetostearyl alcohol and potassium sorbate, which may cause localized skin irritation.The cream must not be used for specific skin diseases such as syphilis or tuberculosis, viral infections such as chickenpox or herpes, vaccination reactions, fungal infections, bacterial skin infections, acne vulgaris, steroid acne, skin inflammation near the mouth, inflammatory redness of the face or allergy to hydrocortisone.

Dosage

EBENOL® 0.5% Cream should be applied to the affected skin areas 1-2 times a day.The application should last a maximum of two weeks.For accurate dosage and use, follow the instructions on the package.

The cream is intended to be applied to the skin.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when using on the facial area to avoid skin changes.Large area application should be avoided.For children over 6 years of age, treatment should be carried out on a small area and with restraint.If the cream is used in the genital or anal area and latex products at the same time, the functionality of these products may be impaired.No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy

The cream must not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy.In later stages of pregnancy, the preparation should only be used after careful benefit-risk assessment.Large-area, long-term use or use under occlusive dressings should be avoided.During breastfeeding, breastfeeding should be discontinued if the preparation is used over large areas or for a long time, as hydrocortisone passes into breast milk.Contact of the infant with the treated areas of skin should be avoided.

EBENOL® 0.5% Cream is fragrance-free and well suited for dry skin.No prescription is required for this product.
