Area of application

You use this product to cleanse the intestines before diagnostic examinations, which are only useful if the intestines are well cleansed.These include, for example, a colonoscopy or an X-ray examination.The preparation is a powder that tastes and smells like lemons.Each sachet contains a mixture of two different laxatives, which, after dissolving in water, is drunk and thoroughly empties and cleanses the intestines.A completely emptied and cleansed bowel is necessary so that your doctor or surgeon has a clear view of the intestinal lining.The product is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each sachet contains the following active ingredients: 10.97 g citric acid (anhydrous), 3.5 g magnesium oxide (light), 2.11 g magnesium ions, 10 mg sodium picosulfate.The following excipients are included: potassium hydrogen carbonate, saccharin sodium, lemon flavor, maltodextrin, RRR-alpha-tocopherol.Each bag also contains 5 mmol (195 mg) potassium ions and 1 mmol (23 mg) sodium ions.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to sodium picosulfate, magnesium oxide, citric acid or any of the other ingredients.The product should also not be used in cases of congestive heart failure, retention of gastric contents, gastric or duodenal ulcer, intestinal obstruction, toxic colitis, toxic megacolon, nausea or vomiting, severe thirst, ascites, recent abdominal surgery, possible intestinal perforation or obstruction, active inflammatory bowel disease, rhabdomyolysis, severe renal impairment or hypermagnesemia.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.The examination may need to be repeated if the bowel is not completely emptied and cleansed.After taking it, frequent, thin stools are to be expected, which is a sign of the effectiveness of the drug.Stay near a toilet until the laxative effect wears off.A fiber-free diet should be followed the day before the examination.After taking the first sachet, you must not eat any solid food until the examination is complete.Do not exceed the prescribed dose in 24 hours unless your doctor specifically recommends it.

The treatment can be carried out in different ways: one bag the evening before the examination and the second bag the morning of the examination day, or one bag in the afternoon and a second bag the evening before the examination.The time interval between taking the two sachets should be at least 5 hours.If you take more than you should, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist immediately.

Intake

Dissolve the contents of one sachet in a glass of water.Do not drink any more liquid immediately after taking it to avoid further diluting the product.Wait about 10 minutes after taking it.Then drink a total of about 1.5 to 2 liters of various clear liquids.Divide the total amount into smaller portions of approximately 250 ml to 400 ml per hour.Clear soups and/or electrolyte solutions are recommended to avoid dehydration.After taking the second sachet, drink another 1.5 to 2 liters of liquid.Do not eat or drink anything at least 2 hours before the examination or follow your doctor's instructions.

Directions for use: Adults (including elderly patients) 18 years and older: Stir the contents of one sachet into a cup of cold tap water (approximately 150 ml).Stir for 2-3 minutes.If the solution becomes hot when stirred, allow it to cool and then drink the entire amount.Once the solution is ready to drink, please drink it immediately.The solution looks cloudy.

Patient information

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the product if you have recently had intestinal surgery, suffer from impaired kidney or heart function, suffer from a water and/or electrolyte imbalance or are taking other medicines that could affect water and/or electrolyte balance, suffer from epilepsy, suffer from low blood pressure, feel thirsty or feel mildly to moderately dehydrated, are elderly or physically weak, or have previously had too little sodium or potassiumhad in the blood.After taking the medicine you will have frequent loose stools.Drink plenty of clear liquids to replenish fluid and salt loss. Otherwise, you may suffer from dehydration and low blood pressure, which can lead to loss of consciousness.

Do not drive or use any tools or machines if you feel tired or dizzy after taking the medicine.
