Directions for use of the article Citrafleet Pulv.Z.Herst.E.Lsg.Z.Einnehmen Beutel CitraFleet is a powder for the preparation of a solution used for bowel cleansing before diagnostic examinations such as colonoscopy or X-ray examinations. It contains sodium picosulphate, light magnesium oxide and citric acid as active ingredients. The package leaflet contains important information that should be read carefully before taking the medicine. The medicine is taken in two steps. The first dose is taken the evening before the examination and the second dose is taken in the morning of the examination day or in the afternoon of the previous day. After taking the medicine, frequent, thin stools may occur. It is important to follow a special fibre-free diet and drink enough clear liquids to avoid dehydration. CitraFleet can cause various side effects such as abdominal pain, bloating, feeling thirsty and headaches. Precise dosage and compliance with the doctor's instructions is required.
