Linola® Acute 0.5% Hydrocortisone Cream
The Linola® Acute 0.5% Hydrocortisone Cream is a cortisone-containing cream that is used for mild skin inflammation, such as those that can occur with skin allergies, sunburn or mosquito bites.The active ingredient hydrocortisone has a gentle effect against allergies, inflammatory reactions and itching and promotes rapid healing of the skin.The cream is light, absorbs quickly and has a cooling effect.No prescription is required for this product.It is also free of parabens, fragrances and microplastics.
Mode of action
The Linola® Acute 0.5% Hydrocortisone Cream contains the active ingredient hydrocortisone, which has a gentle effect against allergies, inflammatory reactions and itching on the skin.Using the cream promotes rapid healing of the affected skin areas.

Ingredients: 100 g Linola® Akut 0.5% Hydrocortisone Cream contains 0.5 g hydrocortisone as well as the following other ingredients: benzyl alcohol, citric acid (E 330), macrogol glycerol laurate (300) (Ph. Eur.), Macrogol stearate 300 and 1500, sodium citrate dihydrate (E 331), sodium edetate (Ph. Eur.), viscousParaffin, propylene glycol, stearic acid (Ph. Eur.) (E 570), purified water.
Area of application
Linola® Acute 0.5% Hydrocortisone Cream is used for mild skin diseases that respond to external treatment with weakly effective corticosteroids.These include, for example, skin allergies, sunburn and mosquito bites.
Contraindications
The cream must not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, in specific skin diseases such as cutaneous tuberculosis or syphilis, in virus-related skin diseases such as herpes simplex, herpes zoster or chickenpox, in skin reactions after vaccinations, in rosacea-like dermatitis, acne and rosacea, in fungal infections and bacterial skin infections, under occlusive conditions such as under plasters or diapers as well as in the body folds, in the eye and on the eyelid as well as during the first third of the periodpregnancy.
Dosage
The Linola® Acute 0.5% Hydrocortisone Cream is applied thinly to the affected skin areas 1 to 2 times a day in the morning and/or evening.For children, one application per day is usually sufficient.The cream may only be used briefly for a maximum of 2 weeks.
Intake
The Linola® Acute 0.5% Hydrocortisone Cream is a cream for use on the skin.Apply the preparation in a thin layer.To do this, apply a small amount to a fingertip and then rub the cream lightly onto the affected skin areas.
Patient information
Particular caution is required when using the particularly sensitive facial area.Large area application should be avoided.For children over 6 years of age, external treatment should be carried out with restraint and only on small areas.If the cream is used in the genital or anal area and latex products at the same time, the functionality may be reduced and the safety of these products may be impaired due to the excipients they may contain.No special precautions are required when driving or using machines.
Pregnancy
The cream must not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy.In later stages of pregnancy, the preparation may only be used after a careful risk-benefit assessment.During pregnancy, use should be avoided over large areas, for long periods of time or under occlusive dressings.Breastfeeding should be stopped during breastfeeding if the preparation is used over large areas or for a long time, as the active ingredient hydrocortisone contained in the preparation passes into breast milk.In addition, contact of the infant with the treated areas of skin should be avoided.
Notes
The Linola® Acute 0.5% Hydrocortisone Cream contains propylene glycol.Do not use the cream on children under 6 years old.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
