Biatain Ag Foam Dressing with Silver Non-Adhesive is a soft, conformable foam dressing proven to help accelerate healing of infected wounds.The dressing has a unique 3D foam structure that bulges towards the wound base upon contact with wound exudate, ensuring excellent absorption, even under compression.

The sustained silver release profile ensures a homogeneous distribution of silver ions and provides a sustained antibacterial effect throughout the entire wear period of up to 7 days.The patented silver complex has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity and, in independent studies, is effective against bacteria found in infected, non-healing wounds.Clinical studies have shown that infected wounds heal faster with Biatain Ag than with other wound dressings, including other antibacterial dressings.

The sustained silver release profile ensures a continuous antibacterial effect throughout the entire wearing period of up to 7 days.In the presence of wound exudate, silver is continuously released into the wound base.

Biatain Ag non-adhesive consists of a soft, flexible, absorbent polyurethane foam dressing with a patented silver complex that is homogeneously distributed throughout the foam dressing.

The dressing can be used on a wide range of exuding wounds with delayed healing due to bacteria or wounds at risk of infection.These include leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome, second degree burns, split-thickness skin donor sites, postoperative wounds and skin abrasions.Biatain Ag non-adhesive can also be used under compression therapy.
