Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients or in children under 14 years of age, this product should not be used.Particular caution is required when using the ACC® acute 600 mg cough solver effervescent tablets when used in combination with cough suppressants (antitussives), in patients with bronchial asthma and with a history of ulcers as well as in patients with histamine intolerance.

Dosage

Recommended use of the ACC® acute 600 mg cough solver effervescent tablets:

The application is suitable for adults and teenagers aged 14 and over.1 effervescent tablet should be taken once daily or ½ effervescent tablet twice daily (corresponding to 600 mg acetylcysteine per day).Dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of water and drink it completely.It should be taken after meals.The medicine should not be taken for longer than 4-5 days without medical advice.

Application of ACC® acute 600 mg cough solver effervescent tablets: Take the medicine after meals.Please dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of drinking water and drink the contents of the glass completely.Note: The expectorant effect of the drug is improved by additional fluid intake.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine.Very rarely, severe skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome and Lyell syndrome have been reported in connection with the use of acetylcysteine.If changes to the skin and mucous membranes occur, medical advice should be sought immediately and the use of acetylcysteine should be stopped.Caution is advised if you suffer from bronchial asthma or have had or have a stomach or intestinal ulcer in the past, especially if you are taking other medicines that can irritate the stomach lining.Caution is advised in patients with histamine intolerance.Long-term therapy should be avoided in these patients because the preparation affects histamine metabolism and can lead to intolerance symptoms (e.g. headaches, runny nose, itching).

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.Since there is no sufficient experience with the use of acetylcysteine in pregnant women, you should only use ACC® acute 600 mg cough solver effervescent tablets during pregnancy if your doctor considers this to be absolutely necessary.There is no information on the excretion of acetylcysteine into breast milk.Therefore, you should only use ACC® acute 600 mg cough solver effervescent tablets while breastfeeding if your doctor considers this to be absolutely necessary.
