Directions for use of Aknefug Oxid Mild 5% Gel: Aknefug Oxid Mild 5% Gel contains the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide and is used to treat acne caused by hormonal changes during puberty. The gel has exfoliating and antibacterial properties. Certain precautions should be observed before using the gel. Acnefug Oxide Mild 5% must not be used if you are allergic to benzoyl peroxide or any of the other ingredients, or if it is to be used on mucous membranes, around the eyes, mouth or nose, or on abraded skin. Careful application is required especially in dry and sebostatic skin and during intensive UV-irradiation, as increased skin reactions may occur. The gel should not come into contact with coloured clothing or textiles as it may cause bleaching. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, the eye should be rinsed thoroughly with water. Accidental ingestion of the gel may cause discomfort in the oesophagus and stomach, so a doctor should be consulted in such cases. Acnefug Oxide Mild 5% should be applied thinly to the affected areas of the skin and the duration of use will depend on how long it takes for the skin symptoms to subside, usually about 4 weeks.
