This medicine is a cream that is applied to the skin and is used to treat acne.It contains an active ingredient from the group of sulfonated shale oils and is used to reduce the number of comedones in mild and moderate forms of acne vulgaris.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The cream contains 10 mg of sodium bituminosulfonate, light as an active ingredient.Excipients include 50 mg cetyl alcohol, iron (III) hydroxide oxide, iron (III) oxide, glycerol monostearate, PEG-20 glyceryl stearate, 100 mg propylene glycol, titanium dioxide, medium chain triglycerides, white petroleum jelly and purified water.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive to sodium bituminosulfonate, other sulfonated shale oils or any of the other ingredients.The cream is also not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Dosage

Always use the medicine exactly as described or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The cream is used two to three times a day, depending on the type and severity of the disease and the skin reaction.The duration of treatment should be a maximum of 6 weeks, unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor.

If you have used more than you should, there is no specific information about overdose.The cream can be easily washed off with soap and water.If you forget to use an application, do not use a double dose.If you stop using the medication, please discuss the next steps with your doctor, as the success of the treatment could be at risk.

Application

The cream is applied to the skin.Wash the affected skin areas of the face with a mild skin cleanser and dry them carefully.Then apply the medicine thinly to the skin areas, avoiding the eyelids and lips.

Pregnancy

The medicine must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as there is currently no sufficient information about the risks of using sodium bituminosulfonate during this time.Possible effects on the development of the unborn child and the period after birth, effects on fertility and the transfer of the active ingredient into breast milk have not yet been investigated.

Notes

The cream is suitable for dry, sensitive skin.Aknichthol preparations contain light, natural sulfonated shale oil.They reduce sebum production and have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects.The tinted cream is also suitable for large-area application and does not show any undesirable reactions when exposed to the sun.
