Cutimed Gel is a transparent, amorphous hydrogel that was specifically developed for the treatment of necrotic and fibrinous deposits in chronic wounds.The gel supports the self-cleaning process of the wound and thus enables effective and tissue-friendly cleaning.Effective debridement is achieved through the continuous release of moisture.The high stability and viscosity of the gel ensure easy application and safe retention in the wound.Cutimed Gel can be rinsed from the wound bed with physiological saline or Ringer's solution.It is preservative and latex free, which minimizes the risk of allergic reactions.

Ingredients

Cutimed Gel consists of Carbomer 940, purified water, glycerin, sodium hydroxide and EDTA sodium.The product is latex-free.

Areas of application

Cutimed Gel is suitable for wound cleaning in necrotic or covered wounds.It can also be used in later wound healing phases to create a moist, physiological wound environment.Examples of areas of application include pressure sores, leg ulcers and diabetic foot syndrome.

Application

Cutimed Gel can be applied in different ways: with the included applicator, a spatula or directly from the tube, depending on the type and location of the wound.
