Instructions for use for UREOTOP Ointment, 100 g

Ureotop ointment is used for the treatment of dry skin, especially neurodermatitis or aged skin, as well as for the supportive treatment of ichthyosis (fish scale disease). The ointment contains the active ingredient urea and intensively moisturises the skin, making it softer and more supple. The application can soften the upper horny layer, which makes it easier for other active ingredients to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. The ointment is applied 1-2 times daily to cleansed, dry skin and gently massaged in. Skin irritations such as burning, redness, itching or scaling may occasionally cause allergic reactions. The application should be avoided in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients or acute skin inflammations. During pregnancy, the ointment should not be applied to the breast, as there is insufficient experience on its use. The ointment should be stored in a cool, dry place and used within 6 months after opening. Further information on use and dosage should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist.
