Area of application

The preparation is a dermatic and keratolytic.It is used to treat dry skin, for example neurodermatitis or aging skin.It also supports the treatment of ichthyosis.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The medicine contains 120 mg of urea as the active ingredient.The excipients include alpha-tocopherol acetate, glycerol, isopropyl myristate, microcrystalline hydrocarbons, macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate, lactic acid, propylene glycol, an oily solution of retinol, sorbitan sesquioleate, white petrolatum and wheat starch.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used to treat abrasions or acute skin inflammation.

Dosage

Always use the medicine according to the instructions.If you are unsure, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.The usual dosage is once or twice daily until symptoms subside.Apply the ointment to well-cleansed, dry skin and massage thoroughly.Airtight dressings can be used as directed by a doctor.

There are no clinical data available for use for more than three weeks.Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if the effect seems too strong or too weak.

No adverse effects are to be expected in the event of an overdose.Continue treatment at the indicated dosage.Don't forget to use it by using a double dose next time.Stopping treatment could jeopardize its success, so please discuss this with your doctor or pharmacist.

Patient information

Be careful not to let the ointment come into contact with eyes or mucous membranes.There is no reliable experience with children.Products containing higher concentrations of urea can cause a short-term burning sensation on the skin of children.

There is no experience of impairment of the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There are no known risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding.The ointment should not be used on the breast area while breastfeeding.Before using any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacy for advice.

Notes

The absorption of medications through the skin into the blood can be increased by urea, especially cortisone.
