Area of application

The preparation is a herbal venous agent that is used to treat symptoms of diseases of the leg veins (chronic venous insufficiency).These include pain and heaviness in the legs, nighttime leg cramps, itching and leg swelling.

It is important to follow additional measures prescribed by your doctor, such as wrapping your legs, wearing support stockings or pouring cold water.If you suddenly experience unusually severe symptoms in a leg, which are noticeable through swelling, discoloration of the skin, a feeling of tension or heat and pain, you should consult a doctor immediately, as these symptoms can be signs of a serious illness such as leg vein thrombosis.

Each extended-release tablet contains 263.2 mg horse chestnut seed dry extract (4.5-5.5:1) extracted with ethanol 50% (m/m), which corresponds to 50 mg aescin.The following excipients are also included: calcium hydrogen phosphate, crospovidone, iron (III) oxide, iron hydroxide, iron oxide, Eudragit RL, Eudragit RS, hypromellose, macrogol 4000, magnesium stearate, polysorbate 80, povidone K25, saccharin sodium, highly dispersed silicon dioxide,Simeticone-alpha-hydro-omega-octadecyloxypoly(oxyethylene)-5-(E,E) hexa-2,4-dienoic acid-water, talc, titanium dioxide, triethyl citrate and vanillin.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken by patients with known hypersensitivity to horse chestnut seeds or any of the other ingredients.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as directed.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is 1 prolonged-release tablet twice a day.The duration of application depends on the symptoms and can take place over a longer period of time.

Intake
