Neuroderm almond oil bath is a greasy medicinal oil bath that is used to support the treatment of skin diseases with dry, itchy skin.It is suitable for adults, children and infants and is an optimal addition to basic care.The product is available as a spreading oil bath and can be used for various skin diseases such as atopic eczema (neurodermatitis), psoriasis (psoriasis), fish scale disease (ichthyosis), aging skin with itching (pruritus senilis), wind eczema and washing eczema.

Neuroderm almond oil bath contains the active ingredients almond oil and thin paraffin.One gram of the liquid bath additive contains 300 milligrams of almond oil and 693 milligrams of thin paraffin.The product also contains the other ingredients Dimeticon 20, macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate, total tocopherols (antioxidants) and perfume oil.

Contraindications

Neuroderm almond oil bath must not be used if you are allergic to almond oil, thin paraffin or any of the other ingredients of the medication.The product should also not be used if you have a fresh form of psoriasis with “pustules” (pustular psoriasis).

Dosage

The recommended dose of Neuroderm almond oil bath is 15 to 30 milliliters for a full bath (approx. 150 liters).If a particularly high level of greasing of the skin is desired, the amount can be increased to up to 45 milliliters per full bath.For a partial bath and a children's bath, the amount should be proportionately lower.The cap can serve as a guide for measuring as it holds about 30 milliliters.

The bathing time should not exceed 20 minutes and the bathing temperature should not exceed 36 degrees Celsius.When treating itching, the bathing temperature should be as low as tolerated and not more than 32 degrees Celsius.For infants and small children, just a few minutes of use is sufficient.Generally, 2 to 3 oil baths are used weekly.

Neuroderm almond oil bath can also be applied undiluted to the moistened body.Showering afterwards can remove too much oil applied, but no soaps or synthetics should be used.After bathing, the skin should only be lightly dabbed with a towel, as vigorous drying or rubbing reduces the effect.

The duration of use of Neuroderm almond oil bath should not exceed 4 weeks.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.There are no known restrictions on the use of Neuroderm almond oil bath during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Notes

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Neuroderm almond oil bath if you have major skin injuries and acute skin diseases, severe febrile and infectious diseases, heart failure (heart failure) or high blood pressure (hypertension).

Neuroderm almond oil bath should not get into your eyes.The oil film on the skin and in tubs and showers increases the risk of slipping.After the bath, you should clean the tub with undiluted household detergent and rinse it with hot water.Soaps and syndets cancel out the effects of oil baths.Only use Neuroderm almond oil bath after a cleansing and shower bath, but not the other way around.

After opening, Neuroderm Almond Oil Bath can be used for 6 months.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
