Biolectra Magnesium 243 mg forte Effervescent Tablets Lemon are a mineral preparation for the treatment of magnesium deficiency-related disorders of muscle activity such as neuromuscular disorders and calf cramps. The effervescent tablets contain magnesium oxide and are taken dissolved in water. The recommended dosage is 1 effervescent tablet 1-2 times a day for adolescents and adults and 1 effervescent tablet 1 time a day for children over 6 years of age. It can be taken with or without a meal. The duration of treatment depends on the degree of magnesium deficiency and is determined individually by the doctor. Side effects may include soft stools, gastrointestinal complaints, diarrhoea and fatigue. The effervescent tablets also contain sodium compounds, potassium hydrogen carbonate and sorbitol. The medicine should be kept away from moisture and out of the reach of children. It contains lemon flavouring with sorbitol as an ingredient. In addition to magnesium oxide, the composition of the effervescent tablets includes citric acid, sodium hydrogen carbonate, sodium carbonate, potassium hydrogen carbonate and rice starch. The use is not recommended in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, impaired kidney function, nervous disorders with muscle relaxation, tendency to kidney stone formation, AV-block, dehydration, children under 6 years of age, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
