Dolo-Dobendan® lozenges are particularly suitable for severe to very severe sore throats and difficulty swallowing.They can be used to temporarily relieve pain and discomfort caused by inflammation of the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat (stomatitis, pharyngitis) or the gums (gingivitis).The active ingredients cetylpyridinium chloride and benzocaine work against bacteria and relieve pain after just 46 seconds.

1 Tablet of Dolo-Dobendan® lozenges contains 1.4 mg cetylpyridinium chloride-1-water and 10 mg benzocaine.Other ingredients include lime oil, lemon oil, quinoline yellow, indigo carmine, sorbitol, sucrose solution and glucose syrup.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.It is not suitable for children under 6 years.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over can take 1 lozenge every 2 hours as needed, but no more than 8 tablets per day.Children between 6 and 12 years old can take 1 lozenge every 4 hours, but not more than 4 tablets per day.

The lozenges are used in the mouth and throat.

Pregnancy

Before taking/using any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.There is very little experience with the use of benzocaine in pregnant women.Although data from a limited number of pregnant women treated with cetylpyridinium chloride in the first three months do not suggest adverse effects on the pregnancy or the health of the unborn child or newborn, the potential risk to humans is unknown due to the lack of animal studies.If you are pregnant, you should therefore not take or use the preparation unless your doctor considers it absolutely necessary.It is not known whether cetylpyridinium chloride or benzocaine is excreted in breast milk.If you are breast-feeding, you should not take this medicine unless your doctor thinks it is absolutely necessary.
