Instructions for use for POSTERINE Ointment, 25 g

Summary: Posterine ointment is a herbal haemorrhoid remedy used to relieve itching, oozing and burning in the early stages of haemorrhoidal disorders as well as inflammation (e.g. anal eczema) and superficial skin lesions in the anal region. In the case of acute onset of symptoms, heavily weeping or yellowish skin lesions and lack of improvement within 3 days, a doctor should be consulted. The ointment contains the active substance witch hazel leaf fluid extract and is used twice a day. Posterine ointment must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to witch hazel, wool wax or any of the other ingredients. Particular caution is advised in the case of fungal infections and use of latex condoms. The medicinal product should not be used in children under 12 years of age and during pregnancy and lactation.
