Hametum haemorrhoid suppositories are a herbal haemorrhoid remedy to relieve discomfort such as itching, burning and light bleeding in the early stages of haemorrhoidal disease. The suppositories are applied rectally and should be inserted deep into the anus 2 times a day, in the morning and evening, after defecation. The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the disease and is usually determined by the doctor. Self-treatment should not exceed 4 weeks. Side effects are rare and only isolated side effects are known for the medicinal product. The medicine should not be used in children under 12 years of age, during pregnancy and breastfeeding and should be avoided in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. The suppositories contain witch hazel leaf extract as the active substance and other excipients. It is recommended to store the medicinal product away from heat.
