Espumisan chewable tablets 42.33 mg contain the active ingredient simeticon and are used for the symptomatic treatment of gas-related gastrointestinal complaints such as flatulence and bloating, and to prepare for abdominal examinations. The chewable tablets act as defoamers by dissolving the gas bubbles embedded in the food pulp and mucus of the digestive tract. The released gases can be absorbed by the intestinal wall and removed by intestinal transit. Espumisan chewable tablets can be used by children from 6 years and adults. The recommended dosage is 2 chewable tablets 3-4 times a day with meals. The tablets should be chewed well. The duration of use depends on the course of the symptoms. Overdose symptoms are not known. Side effects associated with the use have not been observed so far. The chewable tablets contain simeticon and other ingredients such as lactose and sorbitol.
