Instructions for use for BIOMO-lipon 600 mg film-coated tablets, 100 pcs

Directions for use of the article Biomo lipon 600 mg film-coated tablets: - This medicine contains the active substance thioctic acid and is used for the treatment of paraesthesia caused by diabetic nerve damage (polyneuropathy). - The recommended dose is 1 film-coated tablet of biomo-lipon 600 mg (corresponding to 600 mg thioctic acid) daily, about 30 minutes before the first meal. - The film-coated tablets should be taken unchewed and with sufficient liquid on an empty stomach. - In the event of an overdose, nausea, vomiting and headache may occur. Immediate hospital admission is required. - If a dose is forgotten, do not take a double dose. - The medicine should be protected from heat and stored in the dark. - In case of allergies to the ingredients, pregnancy and lactation, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted before use. The product was prescribed to me by my GP at the beginning of 2005 - she knew it from GDR times, when it was still administered by drip, at that time and also in 2005 it was still called Neurium. I then went through the name change to Biomo Lipon and have only experienced positive things over the years: absolutely no side effects of diabetes, right up to the fact that I had and still have no discomfort or even numbness in my feet and hands. In comparison, friends and colleagues with diabetes, to whom I strongly recommended the product, no longer feel anything in their hands (and sometimes feet)!

I have been using the product for over 1 year. It really helps. No side effects. The sensation of the nerve tracts to the feet has improved noticeably. Previously I had a strong tingling sensation in the soles of my feet with some discomfort. Even when climbing stairs, I didn't know exactly whether I was hitting the step with my feet. This is much better now. I will of course continue to take the tablets every morning and hope that it stays like this or even gets better.

The product caused a massive "allergic" reaction in me" and was therefore discontinued immediately. It is astonishing that the package leaflet describes these reactions as "very rare", whereas the literature contains completely different information about the active ingredient. This is more than strange, to put it "nicely". In any case, I will never buy a product from this company again.
