3M Cavilon Irritation-Free Skin Protection is an alcohol-free, liquid barrier film that dries quickly and forms a breathable, transparent protective film on the skin.It is designed to protect intact, vulnerable or damaged skin from urine, stool, other body fluids and skin injuries caused by medical adhesives and friction.The skin protection is non-irritating when applied to damaged skin and does not affect the healing process.

The barrier film dries quickly and is non-sticky, making it easier to use and improving patient comfort.It offers reliable protection against body fluids and is suitable for continence care without having to be removed.It has also been proven to protect the skin when supplying vascular access and is compatible with chlorhexidine gluconate and povidone iodine.The skin protection also enables the fixation of roll plasters and bandages.

3M Cavilon Irritation-Free Skin Protection is suitable for the prevention of incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD).It protects the skin around stomata and drainage as well as the area surrounding the wound.It also prevents skin injuries caused by medical adhesives in the area of vascular access, under adhesive bandages, roll plasters and negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT).The skin protection also offers protection against moisture and friction, for example in intertriginous dermatitis.
