Ureotop Cream is a dermatic/keratolytic that is used for various skin problems.It is used for excessive keratinization, milder forms of fish scale disease (ichthyosis), for relapse prevention and long-term treatment for fish scale disease, for follicular keratinization disorders and for dry, brittle and red skin.

The cream contains 120 mg of urea per gram as an active ingredient.The excipients include (RS)-2-octyldodecan-1-ol, 2-phenoxyethanol, alpha-tocopherol, butylhydroxytoluene, ceteareth-12, cetomacrogol 1000, cetostearyl alcohol, citric acid 1-water, citric acid anhydrous, dexpanthenol, disodium hydrogen phosphate 12-water, glycerolmono/di(palmitate, stearate), glycerol monostearate, lactic acid, palmitoyl ascorbic acid, paraffin thick, propylene glycol, retinol solution oily, peanut oil, medium chain triglycerides, white petroleum jelly and purified water.

Area of application

The cream is used to treat excessive keratinization, milder forms of ichthyosis, for relapse prevention and long-term treatment of ichthyosis, follicular keratinization disorders and dry, brittle and red skin.

Contraindications

The cream must not be used if you are allergic to urea or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Dosage

Always use this medicine exactly as described or exactly as discussed with your doctor or pharmacist.Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

The recommended dose is: Unless otherwise prescribed, the cream is applied to well-cleaned, dry skin 1 - 2 times a day until the symptoms subside and massaged in thoroughly.Occlusive dressings according to the doctor's instructions.

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

If you have used more than you should: You can continue treatment at the indicated dosage.No adverse effects are to be expected in the event of a short-term overdose.

If you forget to use: Do not use a double dose if you forget the previous dose.

If you stop using it: You could jeopardize the success of the treatment.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before stopping treatment with this product.

Intake

The cream is intended for use on the skin.Unless otherwise prescribed, it is applied to well-cleaned, dry skin once or twice a day until the symptoms subside and massaged in thoroughly.Occlusive dressings can be used as directed by the doctor.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.When treating the genital or anal area, the ingredients paraffin and petroleum jelly can lead to a reduction in tear resistance and thus the safety of condoms if latex condoms are used at the same time.

There is no reliable experience with the use of the cream in children.Reports from the specialist literature indicate that the use of highly concentrated products containing urea in children can lead to a mostly short-term burning sensation on the skin.

There is no experience with regard to impairment of the ability to drive or use machines.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.

Notes

Contains propylene glycol, peanut oil, butylated hydroxytoluene and cetostearyl alcohol.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
